Senior Events Project Manager

Salary: Commensurate upon experience – Around £26K

Contact Type: Maternity cover for 12 months with the potential for a permanent contract

Hours: 35 a week

Purpose: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific events and projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, objectives and goals.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

• Define project tasks and resource requirements

• Develop full scale project plans (as necessary)

• Lead the implementation of specific projects, events and initiatives

• Coordinate project team

• Regular feedback to businesses, residents, including any local impacts and disturbance

• Manage project budget and manage project resource allocation

• Plan, schedule and monitor project timelines

• Track project deliverables

• Provide direction and support to project team, and update CEO and Board

• Quality assurance

• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders

• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

• Project evaluations and assessment of results

• Communication channel with local businesses and other stakeholders. Education and Experience

• Experience or qualification in events and/or project management or equivalent

• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project or events management

• Knowledge of events and/or management techniques, tools and management software

• Proven experience in people, risk and change management
