Marc Cole is an experienced regeneration and development professional with a proven track record of delivering transformation change and strategic problem solving. He is passionate about high quality urban design and strong advocate of the role of education, culture and leisure in securing the economic future of towns and cities across the United Kingdom.
He has over 30 years experience in the public, private and third sectors across a wide range of physical regeneration, economic development, strategic policy, property development and senior management roles, in a number of organisations including Manchester City Council, international property consultants DTZ, The Coalfields Regeneration Trust, St Helens Council, Bradford Centre Regeneration, Nottingham Regeneration Limited and North East Lincolnshire Council.
He has also successfully managed his own consultancy business, Eastgate Consulting Limited, delivering value added local government regeneration, development, transformation and executive interim services to a range of clients including the Cabinet Office, Warrington Borough Council, West Lindsey District Council, Oxfordshire County Council and Buckinghamshire County Council.
As City Centre Director at Aberdeen City Council, he is responsible for implementing the recently approved City Centre Masterplan and helping secure the City Centre’s transformation into a place where people increasingly choose to live, work and visit.
